Siam Park water park in Tenerife
A family having fun at the water park

Siam Park is regularly voted the best water park in the world and it’s just 10 minutes from our door. The Thai-themed attraction has slides suitable for all ages and scare thresholds, including one that takes riders through a shark tank. There is a beach, wave pool and lazy river too. Plan to spend the full day here and splash out on a cabana if you can. Speak to our excursion center and we can organise day passes for you. Aqualand is another popular Costa Adeje waterpark that little ones will adore. Taking a boat trip is a Tenerife must-do: the waters around the south of the island are teeming with dolphins and whales. Head to Puerto Colón where catamaran tours depart daily.

Costa Adeje beach in Tenerife

From splashing and sandcastle building to kayaking and surfing, southwest Tenerife has a string of sandy stretches to suit every beachgoer. And our Resort is within a stone’s throw (or five-minute drive) from the best. Pretty Playa de Fañabé is our closest beach, ideal for families with its coffee-coloured sand and calm waters. Take up your position on a sun lounger or sign up for a fun-filled day of water sports. The choice is yours. Pretty little Playa del Duque is another of the coastline’s Blue Flag beaches close by. The sandy stretch attracts a stylish crowd: spend your day lounging and paddling then check out its bars for post-beach cocktails. You’re in prime position for watching the sun drop down over the Atlantic.

Soft-sand beaches, year-round sunshine and top-notch shopping, Tenerife is the island that keeps on giving. There are some great shopping centres in Costa Adeje for clothes, jewellery and beach kit. Be sure to visit the port capital Santa Cruz, with its well preserved buildings in the old town. Browsing markets is one of the joys of a European holiday – there’s a charming street market in Costa Adeje on Thursdays and Saturdays while Los Cristianos is the place to spend a Sunday morning, mooching around with its expansive street market. You can pick up island-made crafts and textiles to take a little memento of this colourful island back home with you. For those that like to cook there are wonderful food markets, piled high with local cheeses, honey and island-grown fruit and vegetables. Adeje Farmers’ Market is held on Wednesdays, Saturdays and Sundays.

Olives, Tapas and red wine on a wooden table

From harbourside eateries selling fresh-off-the-boat fish and tiny tucked-away tapas bars to chilled chiringuitos and slick fine dining restaurants, Tenerife has an array of places to eat and drink. Just a quick cab ride down the road from us are the many bars, cafés and restaurants of Costa Adeje, Puerto Colón marina and Playa de las Américas. These lively areas offer a diverse dining scene with plenty of international cuisines along with regional restaurants that specialise in traditional Canarian dishes. Don’t miss papas arrugadas (wrinkled potatoes) with fiery mojo sauce, ropa vieja (a meat and potato stew) and sancocho Canario (a delicious, salted fish dish). The volcanic island also has a deep-rooted wine growing tradition – you can visit local vineyards to sample the various varieties.
