Tenerife’s cuisine is a melting pot of flavours with influences from Africa, Spain and the Caribbean and an important part of the islands’ culture with its mix of seafood and meat dishes. The Canarian appetisers or tapas are known as enyesques.

MINIMARKET
Serving everything from fresh bread and delicious cakes to sun cream and newspapers, Sam’s Pantry is our onsite mini market that allows you to fully embrace your self-catering holiday.
The mini-market is open from 9am to 4pm 7 days a week.
Sam’s Pantry shelves are home to some of your favourite food brands. Satisfy your morning hunger pangs where the tempting smell of aromatic coffee and croissants will prove hard to resist; alternatively, an espresso could be your best shot to tackle a day of aqua fun and frolics. As the mercury rises, we know a day in the sun can be thirsty work, so thankfully the chiller cabinets stock a range of cold drinks and ice creams to take to the pool or beach.
LOCAL DINING
Look out for the Canarian ‘wrinkly’ potatoes – papas arrugadas, bienmesabe – a very sweet dessert of almond paste, honey and sugar often served with ice cream, and mojo – a sauce is served with many dishes and which consists mainly of oil, garlic, pepper, thyme, cumin, coriander and other spices. There’s a variety of restaurants from Puerto Colon to Playa de las Americas with great choices for local and international cuisines.
